Milwaukee's Premier Ballroom and Dancesport Facility

2006 Was a Great Season for the Ballroom Community
From Dancers Dateline - January 2007

Comparing Dancers' Dateline calendar of 2005 to this years we had more parties, more showcases and more dinner dance opportunities. It was a very good year to dance.

One that was certainly a dance of the decade or two was Marty Voights "20th Anniversary Holiday Dance Spectacular Celebration and Showcase". The turnout was fantastic right from the starting dance. Marty's experience in showcases and presentation certainly showed this year. For the first time Marty held his show at Richfield Chalet, proof that there is life after Marchesse.

When asked, Marty said: My favorite part of doing the Christmas Show is that it always kicks me into high-gear for the season and it's an opportunity for me and hopefully people in the dance community to get together for some holiday cheer when we might not otherwise have the chance. I also like to think of the showcase as an opportunity for the performers/students to demonstrate their accomplishments over the past year in a relaxed fun atmosphere away from the stress of competition and critiques. Dancing just for the sake of dancing."

The show was well paced, the music was outstanding, (thanks Ron & Judy Felsing) and the dancing exceptional. The evening ended with a trip down memory lane, a slide show of the last 20 years of Holiday Spectaculars, and an evening dance show with Marty and Suzana burning up the floor. The last dance was a giant show Cha Cha featuring the students from all the schools that attended. Great job everyone.
